The ThirstStarz Home Entertainment (formerly Anchor Bay UK) has announced the release of three new horror titles: Dead and Deader, Kaw and The Thirst. Details are sketchy, so here's the press release...

Described by Fangoria magazine as "a zom-edy 48 Hrs meets Dawn Of The Dead", Dead and Deader (released 2nd July 2007) stars Dean Cain (Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) and Colleen Camp (Factory Girl; Running With Scissors) in the story of a now-undead former Special Forces commando who, along with the help of a wisecracking cook and a sexy film geek, must prevent a rampant zombie plague from infecting the entire US.

A contemporary update of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, Kaw stars Sean Patrick Flanery (Masters of Horror; The Dead Zone) and Rod Taylor (The Birds) as a small town sheriff and doctor, respectively, who team up in a deadly battle for survival when their local community comes under siege from a conspiracy (or should that be an 'unkindness'?) of killer ravens. Collective nouns aside, it's a pretty scary business.

Fans of Buffy The Vampire Slayer will be delighted to see actress Clare Kramer (The Rules of Attraction; Bring It On) making a welcome return to the vampire genre in The Thirst (released 16th July), in which she stars as one of a pair of recovering drug addicts recruited by a clan of sex and gore crazed vampires. Easily one of the bloodiest vampire flicks we've seen in ages, The Thirst also stars Jeremy Sisto (Kidnapped; Six Feet Under), Serena Scott Thomas (Hostage) and Erik Palladino (E.R.)

As you can see, there are no technical details, and there's no date for Kaw. More details as they become available.
