NEW CD REVIEW!

23rd October 2006

ZETA MINOR NEWS

The Incoming section continues to provide a comprehensive list of interesting forthcoming DVD releases. It's constantly being updated with newly-announced titles, so please visit it regularly!

Don't forget, you can also get a list of recently released titles, culled from Incoming database, here.

DVD news seems a bit thin on the ground at the moment, as companies finalise their plans for the rest of the year, so you'll have to make do with this for the time being...

EVENT NEWS

Optimum are holding a Hammer signing at the Shaftesbury Avenue, London branch of Forbidden Planet on October the 31st, to promote their Hammer Collection DVD box set. Attendees will be Valerie Leon, Jacqueline Pearce and Martine Beswick. The signing will begin at 6pm.

IMAX NEWS

The IMAX cinema at Waterloo will be running a season of After Dark movies at the end of the month.

These will be traditional 35mm presentations, and will not, therefore take full advantage of the huge IMAX screen, but they should still be pretty impressive!

The schedule kicks off with a Halloween offering of the 2006 remake of The Hills Have Eyes, at 7.20pm on October the 31st, and Eli Roth's Hostel, at 10pm that same evening. November's films are...

Fri 3 - Thurs 9  - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest

Fri 10 - Thurs 16 - The Black Dahlia

Fri 17 - Thurs 23 The Devil Wears Prada

Fri 24 - Thurs 30 - The Departed

These films will start between 8pm and 9pm - check listings for details. A bar will be added to the IMAX experience during November. Tickets prices are: Adults £8.50, Concessions £6.25. Tickets can be bought in advance from the ticket desk or by telephone on 0870 787 2525 or online from www.bfi.org.uk/imax
