THE FOX AND THE FOREST
TX. 22nd November 1965
End Credit Sequence (b/w 16mm film)
The closing credits for the first two b/w
seasons were played over a specially created montage sequence designed
by Bernard Lodge, showing representative images from each play (e.g.
close-ups of the main protagonists).
The closing credits for The Fox and the
Forest (alongside material from Andover and the Android – see
entry below) had been retained on a 1965 BBC Graphics Department
showreel, recovered by BBC engineer Steve Roberts in the late nineties.
This reel also contained the opening title sequence for Out of the
Unknown, alongside the specially designed titles for Harold Pinter's
play The Tea Party.
